We all know those impossible days.

It is always impossible until it's done.
-Nelson Mandela

The bedroom renovation is taking longer than we expected, but we are making progress. The hand painted  French closet doors never had a finish on them. They were gorgeous, but they needed to be sealed and protected. We chose to wax them instead of adding polyurethane. It is an easy process.

Tutorial:

Using Annie Sloan Soft Wax gives a wonderful soft sheen. It really fits with the antique door.
Using a soft brush. We purchased the waxing brush and the soft wax together.
After using cloth in the past to finish pieces of  furniture,
we found the brush really helps to get into the grooves of the door.

Working small areas of the doors, brush the wax into the grooves and on the flat surface.
Let it dry and then buff until the soft sheen appears.

There are days I feel we have bitten off more than we can chew.
The redo of this old home has seemed impossible at times,
but slow and steady will bring it to a conclusion.

(And on that day my "Happy Dance" may make History!)

Until Next time…
